What can you bring to our team?

“Good morning Tom, how’s that foundation coming along?” — you coach and share your expertise with the draftsmen in a supportive way, guiding them like Alice through the wonderland of construction.

Faster than Lucky Luke, you whip out your calculator and run a few beam calculations.

And on-site, with the gravelly voice of Don Corleone, you point out the contractor’s sloppy work:
“Marcello, that honeycombed concrete—this is the last time I want to see it, capiche?”

What will you be doing?

• You’re passionate about structural analysis, design, and interpreting sketches.

• You calculate load-bearing structures for all types of buildings.

• You define structural concepts for new projects.

• You regularly carry out site inspections and maintain close contact with the contractor.

• You prepare structural drawings and assign drafting work within your team (for smaller projects, you may do the drawings yourself).

• Together with your team, you deliver the specifications and technical documentation.

• You ensure smooth communication with colleagues.

Thinking “what else?” — then we’re already on the same page!

Are you our “white raven” (rare bird)? Or close to it?

• You hold a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Construction or Architecture). Other degrees (such as Industrial Engineering) are also possible if you have sufficient practical experience.

• You’re a true numbers geek—“Precision” could be your middle name.

• Software like Scia Engineer, Idea Statica, AutoCAD, and Revit hold no secrets for you. And if they still do, we’ll make sure you get the right training so you’ll come home like Neo: “Honey, guess what? I know jiu-jitsu!”

• You’re familiar with the Residential Building Technical Specifications (Bouwtechnisch Bestek Woningbouw).

• You communicate clearly and assertively when needed.

• You think in solutions when faced with technical, architectural, or structural challenges.

• Taking initiative and responsibility comes naturally to you.
